    So what will the job involve?
    You will ensure the systematic provision of a high quality psychological service to Danshell's Midlands services and work autonomously within professional guidelines while exercising responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service/team. 

    A major requirement of the job is to act as a highly specialist resource to the wider professional community and to carry out audit, policy and service development and research activities and/or programs.  To propose and implement policy and service development changes within Danshell as served by the team/service.

  • Location Information
  • Located in a picturesque village near to Barnard Castle, County Durham, Whorlton Hall provides assessment and intervention for men and women living with a learning disability and complex needs. The team can also support those who have additional mental or physical health needs or complex behaviours, and also individuals who are detained under the Mental Health Act. People come to Whorlton Hall from a home environment, supported living or residential service due to an illness or a crisis in their life. They may also come following a stay at an NHS or other specialist learning disability service, including a secure service.

    The post holder will provide cover for Chesterholme Hospital in Hexham, Northumberland.
