  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective secretarial support to the Hospital Manager. You will need to be able to demonstrate sound organisational, administrative, communication and written skills, along with excellent knowledge of computer packages.

     

    Working as part of a team you will have good time management skills and have the ability to prioritise work and have a pleasant and professional telephone manner together with a respectful approach.

    The role will consist of the following duties:

    • Maintaining all HR records
    • Support MDT as appropriate
    • Preparing accurate and timely cash expenditure records on spreadsheets and liaising with Accounts Dept
    • Banking duties
    • Reception / telephone duties
    • Maintaining professional development as required
    • Ensuring policy and procedure files are up to date
    • Copy typing as required
    • Minute taking at meetings

  • Located in Kings Norton, Birmingham, Wast Hills is an award winning Outstanding CQC rated specialist autism hospital, which provides assessment and treatment for up to 25 men and women with autism, who are also living with learning disabilities and complex needs.

    Wast Hills is an impressive period property, set in six acres of gardens and formerly part of the Cadbury estate. The service consists of three autism provisions, which provide different levels of support depending on the individual.

    Within Wast Hills there are many good sized living areas and people can choose to use a gender specific lounge or be in mixed company. Other facilities include two on site sensory rooms, a computer room and two activity rooms. In addition there is a life skills kitchen where people are supported to make their own drinks and prepare food. The people we support at Wast Hills also have access to extensive outside space.

    Wast Hills has received the Autism Accreditation from the National Autistic Society (NAS)
